MIAEYC Online Coaching Academy Series

This in-depth experience of coaching principles, values, and tools that will help you understand yourself better and walk ANYONE through the change process. We’ve designed this special experience to include some foundational coaching material that will help you communicate with anyone, collaborate with even the most challenging people, and understand how the brains of you and your coachee help and hinder the growth process. If you’ve ever struggled to help someone make a needed change, this experience is for you.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to

1) apply the TOGROW coaching model,

2) Identify the elements of Stick Chick in practice,

3) Assess their own personality style and those of their coachees,

4) Distinguish the 7 levels of awareness,

5) use peer coaching techniques in our group zooms,

6) report on their coaching wins, lessons learned, and questions, and

7) assess leadership level.

Outcomes of This Powerful Series: 

  • Participants will apply the TOGROW coaching model and keep notes in all group zoom triad coaching sessions and in their individual coaching sessions.
  • Participants will watch a demo of Stick Chick and complete an individual reflection and share what they’ve learned in our group zoom through chat box or small group discussion, depending on time and numbers in the group.
  • Pparticipants will take the DISC personality assessment and keep coaching notes on their assessments of coachees (in the zooms and in their own work environment), they will report out their findings on the group zooms and ask questions as needed.
  • Participants will distinguish between the 7 Levels of Awareness and complete an individual reflection, buddy share, and share in the next zoom through chat box or small group discussion, depending on time and numbers in the group. They will keep coaching notes on their assessments of coachees (in the class and in their own work environment), they will report out their findings on the group zooms, and ask questions as needed
  • Throughout the series, participants will use the peer coaching techniques demonstrated for them with other participants and in their own work environment. They will keep coaching notes on their sessions and they will report out their findings on the group zooms and ask questions as needed.
  • Throughout the series, participants will report on their coaching wins, lessons learned, and questions about the content. This will be done at the beginning of each live and zoom session in small groups. Participants will pause each video at the beginning and self-assess and then report to the group in the LMS. A final report out will be made on the last zoom.
  • In the first zoom and before the last zoom, participants will assess their leadership level by taking the 5 Levels of Leadership Test. They will participate in a group debrief about the findings on both days, as well as a discussion about changes (if any) to their scores. Pre- and post-tests will be collected on both days and entered in for evaluation purposes.

22 Training Hours (OR) 2.2 CEUs

All participants will be required to attend and actively engage in each live zoom, watch the teaching videos, complete the homework, and turn in the pre- and post-test assessments for full credit. NO PARTIAL CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN.

Each Zoom will meet from 6-8 pm, ET and the schedule and all links and videos will be posted in your learning library, which you can access when you create your login.
